Northern Lancaster County Regional police were called to a “domestic in progress” on Conrad Lane in Warwick Township at 5:42 a.m. on Friday, June 17, according to a release by the department.

Upon arrival, NLCRP found the boy's mother with the above injuries and arrested the teen, but due to the boy’s age they are declining to release additional information about the “domestic assault,” the police say.

“The Child was taken into custody… (and) the NLCRPD filed charges of simple assault in a juvenile allegation against the child,” as stated in the release.

The boy was released to relatives but the police made a ChildLine referral to determine “the best interest of the child and in compliance with NLCRPD agency policy directives,” the release concludes.
